Hello again my beloved visitors. Due to a busy schedule of work, I haven’t updated this place for quite awhile. This might be a little late. But anyways, better be late than never.
May 15-17, 2008. STI Building, Santiago St. General Santos City, Philippines ~ I assisted my colleague, Mr. Nathaniel Jayme (Philippine’s XUL Master), on a 3 day training/workshop called the MAD WORKSHOP or the Mozilla Application Development Workshop. He trained an approximately 20 participants in different IT sectors on how to create a XUL application and delved in to Mozilla Programming. The same technology used by Firefox, Thunderbird, Songbird, Miro, & Komodo IDE to mention a few. It was also an opportunity to introduce our ongoing project FFEHR (pronounced efer), an Electornic Health Record System, and the underlying technology that has been used.
Whew! What an intro. Now let’s proceed to the main topic. On the 3rd day of the workshop, I was fortunate to take part on introducing GIMP to the participants. It was just a short presentation plus a simple demo (courtesy of gimp-tutorials.net) but I was actually overwhelmed ‘coz the participants downloaded GIMP right after my presentation. I saw a lot of enthusiasm and interest on them and I hope they’ll be able to continue to use it.
Now, here is the simple presentation I’ve made at MAD WORKSHOP.
And oh! Please allow me to thank the people that accommodated us during our stay in General Santos City, Philippines specially to Sir Vladimir Oliva for the warm hospitality.
